The purpose of this course is to establish the framework for moving a school culture from a focus on teaching to a focus on learning and professional learning communities. Throughout the course we explored research on learning and developed an understanding of how different approaches to instruction are informed by research.
The Impact and Implications of Growth Mindset in Education
This artifact looks at how might mindset affect an individual’s professional growth, including your own, how might an educator’s mindset also affect institutional growth or progressive change, and what are the implications of an educator’s mindset on instruction and student success?
Owning the Learning: The Impact of Student Agency
Reflecting on my current role in education, this is a look at student agency and authentic learning experiences and how they are being implemented in my professional environment. This includes a summary of my interpretation of the importance of providing students with choice, ownership, voice, and authenticity in their learning. In addition I have included how I could improve or promote the implementation of student agency and authentic learning experiences with my students
Creation: Effective Modern Learning Strategies
Upon evaluating modern and personalized learning concepts and processes that are currently being implemented in my classroom environment I am providing an overview of those strategies or processes with information on how they are currently being implemented.
After that evaluation I have developed a plan with specific goals for further incorporating these modern and personalized learning strategies in this environment. I have provided learning strategies that are actionable in my presentation.
