About Me

My name is Serena Calderon and I am an elementary teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with certification from Pre-K through 6th grade and an additional certification in English as a Second Language (ESL).  I was a non-traditional student, earning my degree while working full-time and raising seven children.  Together with my husband of 30 years we have a blended family of 7 girls and 4 boys and 19 grandchildren ranging in age from an infant to a freshman at Texas A&M Univerisity.  I am currently working as a 2nd grade self contained teacher while working on my Master's Degree at Abilene Chrisitian University.
